We are currently having community dinners on the first Thursday of the month. Depending on the weather, we may be eating outside on our patio, or inside in the air conditioning or heat!
Everyone is invited to come and eat and get to know your neighbors!

FAQ:
What time will this be? The first Thursday of the month at 6:00, but don’t worry if you can’t get there right on time, there will be plenty of food and we will be hanging out for a while.
Is this a soup kitchen? No. A soup kitchen is where an “us” feeds a “them.” This is a community dinner where we at Evergreen are hosting a dinner and inviting people to eat with us and each other.
Why are you hosting this? Because we all need to eat, and we all need friendships and connection.
Who can come? Anyone who wants to come! If you want to get to know your neighbors, don’t want to cook, don’t have any food in your house to cook, don’t want to eat alone, are new to the area and want to make some friends, or just really like what’s on the menu that night.
This is at a church, does that mean there will be faith stuff? For anyone who wants to stay after dinner we will have a brief story of Jesus and a prayer.
What if it rains?: We will be able to open our front lobby doors to get plenty of fresh air. And have a combination of seating inside as well as outside under an overhang. Anyone who does not feel comfortable can always take their meal to go.
Can I help out with anything? Sure, think of this as dinner at an extended family member’s house. If you see something that needs to be done like spills that needs to be picked up, dishes that need to be washed, or someone needing help carrying their plates, just jump right in. You are also welcome to come early (we usually start about 4:00) to help cook, or stay late to clean up.
