Welcome to Evergreen United Methodist Church!
You are invited to Worship every Sunday at 10:30
Community Dinners are happening on the first Thursday of the month at 6:00. Read more about those here!
We extend a special welcome to those who are single, married, divorced, gay, filthy rich, or dirt poor. We welcome those who are crying new-borns, who are over 60 but not grown up yet, and to teenagers who are growing up too fast.
You’re welcome here if you’re “just browsing,” just woke up, or just got out of jail. We don’t care if you’re more religious than the Pope, or haven’t been in church since little Joey’s baptism.
We welcome soccer moms, stay at home dads, starving artists, tree-huggers, Republicans, Democrats, latte-sippers, vegetarians, junk-food eaters, Duke, State and UNC fans, transplants and North Carolina natives. We welcome those who are in recovery or still addicted. We welcome you if you’re having problems, work too hard, don’t work, or if you ended up here because grandma is in town and wanted to go to church.
We offer a special welcome to those who could use a prayer right now, and those who have been hurt by the church; we, as a church, didn’t always get our act together in the past (we don’t get it all right now either). We welcome believers, travelers, seekers and doubters … and you!
